A trullo (plural, trulli) is a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof. At Traguardo these surprising buildings have been transformed into a luxury villa unique of its kind, located in the sun-kissed south of Puglia at the heel of Italy's boot.

OVERVIEW

Nestled within 5 hectares of olive groves, Traguardo is in fact a group of 4 buildings loosely set around a magnificent pool.

The villa is located within close proximity of the “white city” Ostuni, 20 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic coast and is central to all of the famous Val D’Itria villages.

The property was discovered and lovingly restored by an architect from Rome who applied bio architectural principles, cleverly mixing eternal elements such as stone and water with a clean contemporary look. A stay at this villa is marked by the peaceful surroundings, the beauty of the local stone, the easy flow between indoors and outdoors, the terraces and covered porches, the open air pizza oven with barbecue and of course the large swimming pool.

Works of contemporary art by emerging artists (Italian and international) adorn the walls. These works are part of a collection put together by the owner over the last 15 years.

In total there are 8 rooms, 2 kitchens, 3 living rooms, one of which is very large, and various outdoor spaces that revolve around the large pool.
