I Busini
Tuscany
Nestled within the Tuscan hills only 30 minutes south of Florence, this Early Renaissance Villa once owned by the Medici family has been meticulously restored and features a magical garden. Quite a unique place from our point of view!
Following 5 years of meticulous renovations, this fully-staffed, seven-bedroom villa is a stunning Renaissance retreat for bringing together friends and family in the Tuscan countryside near Florence.
Dating back 600 years, I Busini was the union of the noble Florentine Medici and Peruzzi families. You can spot their coat of arms throughout the villa. It’s surrounded by 7 acres of gardens, including a formal Italian garden, and is part of a 100-acre estate with ancient woods, olive groves, and vineyards.
The careful restoration work was carried out by gifted artisans, and original tiles, wooden flooring and stonework were brought back to life. Delicate wall frescoes in the Renaissance style have been added throughout and a glass atrium has been added to the internal courtyard, creating a light inviting areaarea around which the villa’s rooms revolve.
There are numerous sitting and living rooms where guests can gather, among which is a vast double main living room and a cozy library and a separate TV room. Guests have dining options galore – enjoy a meal in the formal dining room, which transforms into a chic after-dinner bar, or take in the view from the al fresco dining terrace overlooking rolling hills. The choice is yours for a delightful dining experience. There is a guest kitchen for breakfast and at guests’ disposal for preparing snacks, while two meals per day are prepared by the villa’s chef in the professional kitchen.
Each bedroom is individually decorated with working fireplaces and large bathrooms with unique bathtubs and showers. One suite is found on the ground floor and the other bedrooms are all on the first floor.
Outdoors, guests can enjoy strolls in the gardens, swimming in the stone-clad infinity pool, relaxing under the shaded panoramic pergola or playing a round of tennis on the red clay tennis court or game of bocce. There is a well-equipped gym in a separate building.
A private chapel and reception areas accommodating up to 50 guests make this an exclusive venue for intimate weddings or other special occasions.

Certaldo Alto – A medieval hilltop town reached by funicular, known as the birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio. Its red-brick palaces, peaceful streets, and lack of crowds make it feel like a secret from another era. The Palazzo Pretorio, with its stunning frescoes, is a highlight.
San Miniato – A stunning hilltop town halfway between Florence and Pisa, known for its spectacular cathedral and well-preserved medieval streets. San Miniato is also a truffle capital, making it an excellent stop for those who appreciate fine gastronomy.
Siena – A Gothic masterpiece, Siena is much more than its famous Piazza del Campo. Discover the Santa Maria della Scala complex, a former hospital turned into a museum, or climb the Facciatone, the unfinished façade of the Duomo, for an unforgettable view over the city’s terracotta rooftops.
Monteriggioni – A fairytale-like fortress town that has remained nearly unchanged since the Middle Ages. Encircled by perfectly preserved walls and towers, Monteriggioni offers an enchanting step back in time, with stunning views over the Chianti countryside.
Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore – Hidden among the rolling hills of the Crete Senesi, this working Benedictine monastery is home to breathtaking Renaissance frescoes by Luca Signorelli and Sodoma. The abbey also produces wine, honey, and herbal remedies

This hilltop town offers captivating views across the Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana valleys. Its historic center winds through medieval streets lined with grand palaces and churches, while beneath the city, ancient cellars are carved into the rock.
Lucca – Lucca is known for its remarkably well-preserved Renaissance-era city walls that have been transformed into a pedestrian promenade circling the old town. Within these walls lies a maze of cobblestone streets, elegant piazzas, and medieval towers, including the unique Torre Guinigi, crowned with oak trees at its summit.
Pisa – Famous for its iconic Leaning Tower, Pisa offers much more than its world-renowned tilt. This historic Tuscan city boasts elegant piazzas, medieval churches, and the grand Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander along the Arno River to discover hidden gems, charming cafés, and a vibrant university atmosphere that has shaped Pisa for centuries.
Forte dei Marmi – Sea and culture are the two characteristics of Forte dei Marmi, one of the most famous tourist centers along the Tuscan shore.
